Matt F.

I photographed another Matt, and he is also an RA. We met on Oglethorpe Avenue at one of his favorite buildings in Savannah.

What makes you different from other Matthew's?
I don't know...I'm awesome? I haven't met many Matt's; I've always been the only Matthew. I love to travel, I'm willing to be rash and go above and beyond. I help friends before I do my own homework. This building is one of my favorites in Savannah. It makes me sad it's still standing and no one has fixed it. I recognize it's a great building, even if I can't fix it.

Would you change your name if you could?
I have never even thought about changing my name.

Thanks for your help, Matt! Great to meet you :]

Matt H.

Matt is an RA at SCAD, like me. I was so thankful that he was willing to help out with this project. We met at the church he goes to, Bull Street Baptist church and took photos there. Matt is a really interesting guy, and it seems like he has a lot to offer this world.

What makes you different from other Matthew's?
I'm not your average Matthew. I'm social and like to work collaboratively. I like to branch out. It's rare for me to find another Matt that is as concerned with spirituality as me. For me, Christianity--God--has always been a huge part of my life. My personal relationship with God is something I keep dear to my heart. My guitar signifies music; I can feel rhythm in everything. Music plus religion equals the perfect career.

Would you change your name if you could?
I do not think I would change my name. When I was younger I would just because I grew up around a lot of Matts. I tried Max, Roscoe, and Malcolm: but, I always came back to Matt.

Thank you so much, Matt. It was great to spend some time with you at our shoot!

Megan S.

My next appointment was with Megan. We met at Forsyth and took pictures at the playground. We had a good time and the kids would ask me questions about equipment as they went up and down the jungle gym :]

What makes you different from other Megan's?
Not many people have an Irish first name and a Cuban and Spanish last name. I pride myself on my Peter Pan syndrome. I refuse to grow up. I'll assimilate into society, but I'll never grow up. I love the unrestricted-ness of being a kid.

Would you change your name if you could?
I would never change my name.

Thanks for helping me out, Megan!

Samantha L.

Samantha was my second model. I had never met her before, but she found the group that I had started on facebook, and she emailed me.

We met up in one of her favorite squares in Savannah, Pulaski Square. The sky was overcast and it was perfect photographing weather.

Samantha did so well and she was a total natural in front of the camera!

What makes you different from other Samantha's?
"I’ve traveled a lot and I’ve climbed a few big mountains including Kilimanjaro, Chachani, and Ranier. When I was younger I was brought up to love the outdoors. But I love fashion and I’m very much a girly girl. That’s why I had to be in Savannah versus New York because there are so many beautiful trees and squares here. I’m also a pedi-cab driver. I love doing it, I get to see the city, meet cool people, and be outside all day."

Would you change your name if you could?
"When I was little I used to want to change it to Roxanne but now I’m content with Samantha."

At this point in the shoot, a tourist came up behind us and snapped a picture of Samantha and then asked what her name was. It was quite funny :]

Thank you so much for helping me out on this project, Samantha! It was great to meet you :]

Emily O--My First Appointment!

So for my first model in this project, I worked with one of my roommates. Her name is Emily and she is wonderful.

The morning of the shoot she tried on lots of different outfits, trying to figure out which one would be best. Some were awesome and then others she tried on just to be silly. :]

We went to a park that she found about a week ago and it turned out great!

What makes you different from other Emily's?
"I have a unique sense of style and I love to crochet. More than that, I like parks that are rundown and undesirable. Except, I desire them and they become my parks."

Would you change your name if you could?

"No, I wouldn’t change my name. I think its really cool that it has five letters and three syllables."

Thank you for being a part of my project, Emily!
